Upcoming Virtual Learning Community Projects...

Potential VLC Student

On August 20, 2004, the State Board of Community Colleges approved the funding of four Virtual Learning Community Centers for 2004-2005.  Surry Community College is hosting Center 1: Editing of AAS Courses, with Candace Ring serving as the Center Director. Nash Community College is hosting Center 2: Editing of AA/AS Courses, with Chris Morgan serving as the Center Director.   Fayetteville Technical Community College is hosting Center 3: Curriculum Course Development for AAS Programs, with Cheryl Thomas serving as the Center Director.  Mayland Community College is hosting Center 4: Web Development, with Jon Wilmesherr serving as Center Director.  VLC Center 4 will develop a website for the Virtual Learning Community.  Below are courses that were listed in the RFP that have been identified to be developed and/or edited by the first three VLC Centers during the 2004-2005 VLC Cycle.  Final selections of the courses that will actually be developed and/or edited will be made by October 15, 2004.  Those final selections will be listed on this site, after October 15th.
