Quality Matters (QM) is a global organization leading quality assurance in online and innovative digital teaching and learning environments. It has advanced quality assurance practices in online teaching and learning for over a decade.


Teaching Online Certificate (TOC) Workshop Opportunities

The Virtual Learning Community (VLC) has secured a system-wide Quality Matters Supplemental Membership and Licensing subscription for the Quality Matters Teaching Online Certificate (TOC).

All NCCCS colleges with Quality Matters membership may enroll faculty in any, or all seven courses that make up the Teaching Online Certificate (TOC) at no cost (except for the standard $35 QM Technology fee). This represents a professional development value of $1,815 per participant.

Quality Matters Technology Fee

A standard $35 technology fee per course, per participant is billed directly to the college by Quality Matters upon registration.

Connecting Learning Theories to your Teaching Strategies

CLTTS

Dates: 9/9 – 9/23

Info: Bridge the gap between educational theory and practical online teaching strategies.

Duration: Two Weeks (minimum time commitment 20 hrs.)

Gauging Your Technology Skills

GYTS

Dates: 9/23 – 9/30

Info: Assess your current online teaching technology skills, identify gaps, and create a realistic plan to strengthen them using available resources.

Evaluating Your Course Design

EYCD

Dates: 9/30 – 10/14

Info: Dive into the quality of your course design and explore ways to improve course delivery.

Creating Presence in Your Online Course

CPOC

Dates: 10/14 – 10/28

Info: Bolster student success by exploring three types of online presence: instructor, social, and cognitive.
